Thomas Alva Edison, 1847-1931.  Beautiful bold black signature, Thos. A. Edison, matted and framed.

This signature, Edison’s famous umbrella signature, is superb.  Edison has boldly signed in black fountain pen on an off-white page.  The signature is richly triple matted in burgundy suede and gold along with a photograph of Edison and an engraved brass plate detailing his life and work.  The piece is framed in a period-looking gilt wood frame.  The signature is in excellent condition.
