Mrs. Bush tells her life's story through the White House years

Barbara Pierce Bush, 1925.  First Lady of the United States, 1989-1993.  Mrs. Bush' book, A Memoir, signed on a bookplate, Barbara Bush.

This is Mrs. Bush's 1994 autobiography.  She writes of her early life and, of course, her life in politics with George H. W. Bush, who served in a number of elected and appointed positions before serving eight years as Vice President and four as the 41st President of the United States.  The book predates by six years the election of her son, George W. Bush, who became the 43rd President.

This hardbound book, published by Scribner, is in mint condition.  The dust jacket bears a photograph of Mrs. Bush in a classic pose—wearing three strands of pearls.  The pages of the book are clean, and the binding is tight.  The dust cover is complete, not price clipped, and is protected by a Mylar covering.

Mrs. Bush has signed in blue on a bookplate tipped onto the purple front flyleaf.  At the top of the title page, the book also has what appears to be a preprinted signature that matches her gold-embossed signature on the cover of the book.
