Chief Justice Burger signs a tribute to his predecessor, Chief Justice Earl Warren

Warren Earl Burger, 1907-1995.  Chief Justice of the United States, 1969-1986.  Concert and dinner program, boldly inscribed and signed Warren E. Burger.

This is an excellent association piece.  It is a souvenir program from the 14th annual United Nations concert and dinner in Washington, D.C., on October 19, 1974.  Burger has signed beneath his portrait and above his tribute to his predecessor, Chief Justice Earl Warren, whose photograph appears on the facing page.  Warren was a member of the Board of Directors of the United Nations Association of the United States of America, for whose benefit this event was held.

Burger, whose autograph material is scarce, has signed this with an extremely bold, 5" blue ballpoint signature.

The program measures 7¼ x 12½".  The cover is embossed with the United Nations symbol and has been signed by Walter Kissinger, the brother of former Secretary of State Dr. Henry Kissinger.  The cover is loose at the top staple, but overall the piece is in fine condition, and Burger's signature is extra fine.
