Powerful ¾-profile image of a determined JFK
John Fitzgerald Kennedy, 1917-1963. 35th President of the United States, 1961-1963. Beautiful 8" x 10" portrait of Kennedy, almost certainly as President, signed For Mrs. Frances _______ / with warm personal regards / John Kennedy.
This is a particularly compelling image of a determined President. Kennedy has boldly inscribed and signed this powerful ¾-profile image in jet black fountain pen in the large bottom white margin. The photograph itself is in bright black and white; the scans below show its true color, while the photograph of the framed image is a bit dim due to the lighting.
Kennedy's genuinely signed photographs are scarce, given his use of secretaries to sign for him in both the Senate and White House and his notorious use of the Autopen. This photo has some trivial surface imperfections, but overall it is in fine condition. It has been double matted in gray and black matting and framed in a reddish-brown wood frame to an overall size of 14¾" x 16¾".
