Nicely centered signature of President Harding on a The White House card, suitable for framing

Warren Gamaliel Harding, 1865–1923.  29th President of the United States, 1921–1923.  4¼” x 2¾” The White House card signed Warren G. Harding.

This is a nice example of President Harding’s signature on a The White House card.  He has signed in black fountain pen.  As is typical, the engraved words the white house / washington are printed in blue in the upper right corner of the card.

Because Harding served only 29 months before he unexpectedly died on a speaking tour on August 2, 1923, his signed The White House cards “were never common and have become somewhat scarce during the last several years.” Lynne E. Keyes & Stephen Koschal, The History of Collecting Executive Mansion, White House and The White House Cards Signed by the Presidents and their First Ladies  54 (2d ed. 2006).  Our search of auction records found only a dozen of these cards that have been sold at auction in the past decade.

The signature on this card is nicely centered, which makes it attractive for framing.  The card is toned, there is a faint paper clip impression below the signature, and there is a small crinkle in the lower left corner.  Overall the card is in fine condition.
