Benito Mussolini

King Vittorio Emanuele III

Benito Amilcare Andrea Mussolini (1883-1945), Fascist dictator of Italy, and Vittorio Emanuele III (1869-1947), King of Italy during World War I and World War II.  Very fine Document Signed, Mussolini and Vittorio Emanuele, 9¾" x 14½", Rome, February 3, 1927.  In Italian; not translated.

This is a very fine specimen.  Because of its size, we could not scan the entire document, but the scans represent the quality of this piece.  Both Mussolini and Vittorio Emanuele have boldly signed in black fountain pen.  There are staple holes and a corresponding staple stain in a blank area in one margin and a small, ½” tear in the top margin, all well away from both the text and the signatures.  There is also a small crease in an upper corner.

Documents signed by both Mussolini and Vittorio Emanuele are not rare, but this one is very nice for this genre.
