Franklin D. Roosevelt

Franklin Delano Roosevelt, 1882-1945.  32nd President of the United States, 1933-1945.  Bold ink signature, Franklin D. Roosevelt, laid down to a formal 7" x 9½" bookweight photograph of Roosevelt.

This is a beautiful 4½" signature by Roosevelt.  It is not dated, but given the style of the handwriting, particularly the “D" and the “R,” FDR undoubtedly signed it as President.

Roosevelt has signed this signature in gray-black ink.  There are small smudges on the “Fr" in “Franklin" and on the “R" in “Roosevelt" where FDR brushed his hand across the ink.  It is, however, an excellent example.
